Auramarine Olympic Games in mid 70's
A short history of Auramarine
Auramarine was founded in July 1974. It started to design and manufacture mineral oils separator units in 1975. In the same year, work on the facility in Lieto, Finland began. The first Heavy Fuel Oil Supply unit was manufactured in 1976. At the turn of the decade, 80% of production was skid mounted units, while the design services and manufacturing of cargo handling equipment were ceased.
In 1989, Hollming acquired the majority stake in Auramarine. Exports to Asia began in the same year, and the first booster was sold to South Korea. In 1994, the facility was again expanded. While exports to Japan had begun two years earlier, China became a new destination.
In 1997, investments were made in new state-of-the-art tools for pipe branching and bending that had previously not been used in the industry. Auramarine was also awarded its ISO 9001 Quality Management certificate.
In 2001, Auramarine Asia Ltd. was established in Shanghai, China with the mission of manufacturing Auramarine’s products designed for the Asian market. Two years later Auramarine developed the AMB-Mc product range with a modular booster design.
The investments continued in 2006 with an additional warehousing space in Lieto, Finland. The business in Shanghai China was also expanded with an additional production facility.
